WE really do have a diamond of an organisation in Urban Outreach here in Bolton.
Along with all the care of the homeless, thousands of packed meals for poor children in the Summer holidays and all the other work they do with the town’s most vulnerable, they’ve now scooped £400,000 of Lottery money over five years to help runaway children.
The cash will expand the service they already run to provide mentoring and support to those who have gone missing before as well as those who might run away.
If ever a group was the conscience of a town it is Urban Outreach.
