It is amusing how a mix of people can see the same event in a different light.

The Bolton News reports that Nigel Farage was 'mobbed' by cheering crowds.

Passing through the Victoria Square, I was aware of a half-empty space with folks milling about. Realising what it was I hung around.

As the bus stopped, out leapt a group of ladies, handing out purple 'leave' boards to those present. (I politely declined the offer!)

Then came the squeaks as the microphone refused to work.

Farage yelled out the stuff we'd heard on TV. Some cheered but there was also booing.

Then came the Town Hall visit. Hardly an event of great importance. Mild interest ad amusement perhaps.

I have no idea how the vote will go but I do believe a 'leave; vote will hand Britain a perilous future.

The EU is not perfect but nor is Britain. To improve you need to work from within.

Britain will not prosper alone. The rest of the world have moved on and we are not in the 19th century, it's as bad as saying the Northern "Powerhouse" should break away from Britain. We will hear increasingly from the politicians and Media screeching about tariffs and migrants.

The next 30 years will see a world in which other areas will gain increasing power — power which will strain a unified Europe. To be part of the new world as a lonely island off mainland Europe will be a British disaster.
