WHILST it might be to the Conservative Party’s electoral advantage to keep Jeremy Corbyn as leader of the opposition I hope he loses, British politics has turned toxic with him in charge of the Labour Party.

The Conservative Party has held Corbyn in contempt since inviting the IRA to the House of Commons a few weeks after they murdered five of our members at Brighton.

At last year's Conservative Party conference where we are used to the odd demo, delegates and workers were subjected to the most venomous abuse I’ve ever seen, we witnessed clearly distressed younger women sworn at, older members who couldn’t leave quickly peppered with missiles and Asian members spat on.

And yet it is moderate members of the Labour Party who suffer most, look at the Jewish Labour MP abused at a recent press conference or the brick thrown through Angela Eagles window or the 50 female Labour MPs demanding the abuse stop.

Corbyn is portraying himself as favouring a kinder and gentler politics.

I hope Labour finds a way of riding their party of Corbyn and ensures the hard left never hijacks it again.
