ANOTHER nail in the coffin of Bolton's centre. With Beales also closing all that remains is M&S and the Market Hall that has been totally ruined and itself has empty retail sites.
The blame lies firmly with greedy landlords. All that's left are banks charity shops betting shops and Poundland discounters.
What is the point of building the new Bolton Exchange with new retail sites and offices when the town is broken with so many empty shops and offices rotting away each month?
Regretfully Bolton is no longer the thriving retail destination that generations grew up in. It is a lost cause and who knows what it will look like in 50 years from now.
