MUMS across Bolton are being invited to let their hair down at a night out with a difference.

Sarah Unsworth is bringing her Mums Night Off to Bolton Whites Hotel, Horwich, on Friday, April 25, where women can enjoy a feel-good event with plenty of treats.

Mrs Unsworth, doting mum to three-year-old and 15-month-old daughters, said: “Being a mum, I got a tad sick of seeing all the celebrities in magazines who lost the baby weight within 24 hours of giving birth and I wonder how they find the time to go to the hairdressers and the gym and still look glam.

“Why aren’t they walking round with Wotsits squashed into their trousers and Play-Doh in their hair like the rest of us?”

There will be the chance for ladies to shop for clothes and accessories, indulge in some pampering and beauty treatments, enjoy entertainment, watch exercise demonstrations, pick up free samples and get advice and information on health and well-being.

Mrs Unsworth, who works part-time in a dental practice, has held events in Blackpool and Preston with hundreds of women attending for a chance to unwind and enjoy a glass of wine served by a cheeky naked butler.

The 30-year-old, who lives in Blackpool, said: “People were saying, can’t you do one in Bury or Bolton?

“Mums all over the place need a break so I decided to do a few around the North West.

“I just feel like, when you’re a mum you’re trying to juggle everything — your job, looking after the house and your children.

“Your pampering and your treats go to the bottom of the pile.

“There’s so much pressure to look good and have perfect kids and a clean house.

“Instead of trying to be perfect, come along and have a night off. Let the dads put the kids to bed for a change.”

Stalls and demonstrations will include The Pampered Chef, Cambridge Weight Plan, Younique UK Satchels, Stella & Dot jewellery, Fudgerrific, The Icicle Tricycle Company, Molton Brown, The Body Shop and hands free massage from Cherish from Within.

Tickets cost £3.50 in advance, visit mumsnorthwest.co.uk, or £5 on the door. The event is 7pm to 10pm and parking is free.
