A ONE-off charity gig starring former Crackerjack presenter Stu Francis and the Happy Mondays has been postponed.
The comic, who lives in Smithills, was due to join DJs, including former Joy Division and New Order bassist Peter Hook and Hacienda legend Graeme Park for the event at the Palace Theatre in Manchester tonight.
The band has been forced to reschedule due to “unforeseen circumstances” and said it would now take place in October.
The black-tie ball had been organised to raise funds for Little Hulton band member Paul Ryder’s 12-year-old son, Chico, who is battling cancer in the US.
