WORLD War One memorabilia was on display at the Astley Bridge area forum.
Local historian Norman Hindley spoke about what effect the war had on Astley Bridge at the meeting, held at the Baptist Church, in Eden Street Ahead of the forum, councillors had appealed to residents to come forward with stories and memorabilia about the area during the war.
A Roll of Honour with the names of men who died in the conflict was on display and there was also a celebration cake.
Cllr Hilary Fairclough said: “It went really well and we had one of our highest number of people attending.”
