A MAN suffered spinal injuries in a car crash that left six people needing hospital treatment.
Firefighters from Bolton North were called to Halliwell Road, near the junction with Eskrick Street, shortly before midnight on Saturday, after crash involving an Audi and a Vauxhall Meriva.
They took 90 minutes to free the man, believed to be aged in his mid-30s, from the wreckage before he was taken by ambulance to the spinal injuries unit at Salford Royal Hospital.
Three men and two women in the Audi, aged between 17 and 21, were taken to the Royal Bolton Hospital with minor injuries.
