A DRUNKEN male reported to be wandering near the M61 has been found by a nearby farmer.
Motorwar police were concerned about his welfare on Saturday night when he was seen on the motorway southbound at about 7.30pm before heading into a nearby field.
They have since sent out a tweet to say he was found semi-conscious in a ditch.

GMP confirmed that they had received two calls, one from a farmer to say he had seen the male in a field near Junction 5 for Westhoughton trying to climb over the barrier onto the motorway.
Speed limits of 50mph were set on both sides of the carriageway as a precaution.
