A SCRABBLE group is going from strength to strength as it approaches its first anniversary.
The group, which meets each Monday at Blackrod Library, now boasts seven members.
The club first met in January this year, with founder Cynthia Broadbent, Freida Warner and Vivien Matts pictured enjoying a recent game.
The library's manager, Ann Brown, said: "This gives something for the people of Blackrod to enjoy.
"We want people to use the library as a community resource as well."
The group meets each Monday from 2pm to 4pm.
Blackrod Library opens from 9.15am to 7.30pm on Mondays and Thursdays, as well as from 9am to 12.30pm on Saturdays.
The Scrabble club is free to join.
