DRUGS, guns and cash have been seized and three men arrested following a raid at a farm.

Police discovered 12kg of uncut amphetamine paste with an approximate street value of £120,000, about £7,000 in cash and some firearms after executing a warrant at Walmsley Farm on Green Lane in Leigh at about 7.30am yesterday.

Items — believed to have been stolen in recent burglaries in Leigh and Atherton including laptops and sat navs — were also recovered in the raid.

Three men aged 35, 36 and 38 were arrested on suspicion of supplying amphetamine and remain in police custody for questioning.

Det Sgt John Davies said: “I would like to commend the officers for the excellent team-work that led to this result and this seizure shows our determination to clampdown on the drugs and firearms that harm our communities.

“We are committed to tackling organised crime and are dedicated to making our streets safer for those who live and work in the community.

“I would ask anyone who may know where drugs or guns are being dealt or produced to contact police as soon as possible.”
