ANOTHER Monday morning, another busy day on Bolton’s roads.

Queues are already building on the A666 travelling out of Bolton between Moses Gate and Kearsley because of the roadworks.

Delays are likely if you are taking this route, with the traffic continuing onto the M61 southbound at Kearsley Spur, junction three, up to junction one of the M60 at the Swinton interchange.

As usual, traffic is slow in the East Lancashire Road eastbound, in the roadworks in Astley.

Queues are particularly bad between the Queens Arms traffic lights, on Chaddock Lane, and the A575 Walkden Road junction.

Further afield, if you are travelling towards Rochdale be aware that one of the A627(M) northbound is blocked between junction two for Middleton and junction three for the M62.

This is because of a broken down lorry, and is causing tailbacks.

On the Manchester Metrolink, there are minor delays on the Bury to Altrincham, Eccles to Ashton-Under-Lyne and East Didsbury to Rochdale lines after a tram failed at Cornbrook earlier this morning.
