FIREFIGHTERS were called to a Radcliffe bungalow after an elderly couple spotted sparks coming from their fuse box.
A crew from Whitefield fire station was called to Sunningdale Avenue at 2.45pm this afternoon.
An elderly woman noticed the lights began flashing while her husband was in the shower, and saw sparks and smoke coming from a fuse box downstairs.
Firefighters isolated the gas and electricity to make the property safe and called out the electricity board to fix the problem.
The couple were told to leave the premises until the emergency services arrived, and suffered no injuries.
