THE owner of a dog which was out of control and injured a man has been fined.
Katia Briercliffe, aged 44, of Cleveland Gardens, Daubhill, pleaded guilty to allowing her white Staffordshire Bull Terrier named Max to be out of control in Longfield Road Park on June 28.
She also pleaded guilty to having another out of control Staffordshire Bull Terrier named Paddy on the same day.
The court also ordered both dogs to be microchipped, to be muzzled and kept on a lead in public places and to be castrated.
Briercliffe was sentenced to a community order by Bolton magistrates, and was fined £50 and ordered to pay compensation of £200 and a criminal courts charge of £180.
