A SUSPICIOUS fire broke out in the middle of the night at an Indian restaurant in Halliwell that has been targeted before.
The blaze was at The New Curry House in Halliwell Road, on the corner of Weymouth Street and next to The Claremont Arms pub, at just after 3am.
Police have cordoned off the takeaway for investigation.
A Greater Manchester Police spokesman said: "We were called at 3.10am by the fire service to The New Curry House to reports of a fire.
"It is being dealt with as an arson."
Fire crews from Bolton and Bolton North Fire Stations attended to extinguish the flames.
It is not the first time the business has been targeted.
The restaurant was attacked by a mob armed with bricks hours after a previous owner, Lukman Miah, was jailed for child abduction in June last year.
Its new owners have distanced themselves from Miah, saying they have nothing to do with him.
They changed the name of the eatery from The Curry House to The New Curry House in a bid to make a fresh start.
