KEARSLEY will be the next area of Bolton to have 20 mile per hour limits in place on its residential roads.
Bolton Council is steadily making all residential roads in the borough have the limits in place after passing a motion to do so back in 2013.
Little Lever was the first ward to undergo the changes, which have been carried out in other areas including Tonge with the Haulgh and Westhoughton.
The latest notice, published in The Bolton News, states that the council intends to impose the 20 mph limit on “all the residential roads in Kearsley that are not currently subject to a 20 mph speed limit.”
If any residents wish to read the draft proposal, plans and the reasoning behind the move — they can do so at bolton.gov.uk/trafficorders or in person by visiting the council’s Highways and Engineering Division on the 4th floor of The Wellsprings building in Bolton Town Centre.
