BOLTON boxer Amir Khan has become the latest celebrity to launch their own game for smartphones.

Ahead of the biggest bought of his career, the world champion fighter has released his own mobile app, called Khanage.

The arcade style game challenges players to take King Khan to the top of boxing by defeating a rogue’s gallery of antagonists not too dissimilar to his real life rivals.

“Going into the biggest fight of my life I wanted to give fans another way to connect with me and my story,” said Amir.

“I think everyone knows my desire to prove I belong at the top of boxing in the biggest fights, and Khanage is a fun way of expressing that.”

In Las Vegas on May 7, Amir will take on Mexican fighter, Saul Alvarez, who bears a striking resemblance to flame haired in-game opponent, Dan Ello.

Elsewhere feature flash American character, Dollar Bills Jr and the Beast form the East, Barry Mackyowl.

In a three-part story trailer for the game, Khan can be seen confronting each rival before they get spooked and run off, leaving the brave and somewhat reluctant Dan Ello to take the fight.

Characters are so hell bent on avoiding Khan in the game, they send out evil droids to stop him in his tracks.

How the story ends is down to the fast hands of the player, who can swipe their way through legions of killer robots to dethrone the pretenders and take Amir to the top of the sport.

Following the likes of Kim Kardashian’s Hollywood and singer Katy Perry’s Pop, Khanage is the latest in a growing trend of celebrities and sports star endorsed mobile app games.

Produced by UK 3D animation studios, Digital Shoguns, the game is available free to download on iOS and Android from May 2.

Featuring in-app purchases, infinite levels, special kits and video game graphics, the little app promises to pack a mighty punch.

Amir added: “I am surprised how realistic it is for a mobile gaming app. Digital Shoguns have done an incredible job with the gameplay and graphics.

“I’ve played it a few times now while in camp on the way to the gym. It is very addictive and quite motivating.

“It’s great fun for all ages and I think everybody is going to love it. Download it for free to join the ride and let’s bring these belts back home!”
