To the disappointment of fellow Top Gear presenters, Chris Harris and Freddie Flintoff, it was Paddy McGuinness chosen this week to test drive a £4 million Aston Martin.

The reason for the whopping price tag? The Victor is a one off.

The bespoke supercar, described by Paddy as an "absolute work of art", is a mash up of previous Aston Martins, including taking styling cues from the 1970s V8 Vantage and certain drivetrain components from the much newer Valkyrie.

With just one ever manufactured, this might be the only glimpse most people will ever get of it.

Yet with a racing driver and a sporting legend on hand, it was the comedian who got picked to put it through its paces.

According to Paddy, you could buy 20 new McLaren's for the same price as this one car - and go just as fast. Which might seem a little ridiculous.

But as Paddy said: "These bonkers, crazy-expensive super cars are meant to be ridiculous. They're meant to be daft. And the Victor, well, is the daftest of the lot."

Upon "meeting" Victor, Paddy said: "This might be the best-looking car I've ever seen. It might be the best-looking thing I've ever seen!

In a 7.3 litre car which reaches 60mph in first gear and 90mph in second, it was little wonder the test drive audio was mostly shouts of "cor", "woo hoo" and "come on" screamed by Paddy over the roar of the engine.

In summary, he admitted: "I love that things like this exist, I love that I got the chance to drive it. And most of all, I love that it's still in one piece."

Adding: "Victor, it's been a pleasure."
