A MUM-OF-THREE said she can't thank a nightclub owner enough after he twice brought her back to life on a night out.

On her first night out since the birth of her third child, Sophie Hope collapsed as she entered Est 1899, a nightclub on Railway Road, at around 4.30am on Sunday, March 6.

Ater she was urgently carried into the club's office by a bouncer, Est 1899 owner Colin Royle immediately grasped the gravity of the situation as the 26-year-old was "unresponsive" and began having a fit.

Putting the new mum into the recovery position, Colin - who used to be in the military - started administering CPR after Sophie "stopped breathing" and her pupils "stopped dilating".

After bringing Sophie back to life for around a minute or so, her pulse was said to be "very faint" and she stopped breathing for a second time.

Critically, Colin once again administered CPR and was able to successfully bring Sophie back around just as paramedics arrived at the club and continued the life-saving operation.

Sophie was then taken to Wigan Hospital, where she was discharged later that day.

Sophie, 26, said: "I don't remember much of what happened, so I only know what people have told me.

"After I was told what Colin did, I was speechless. I rang him up straight away to thank him, but there are no words you can say to someone who has saved your life."

As Sophie has suffered from seizures before - though not to this scale - she is now looking into this further with her GP and medical professionals.

While Colin has been congratulated on his heroic actions, the nightclub owner said: "All the thanks I need is that she is still here, and she has her life in front of her and her baby."
