Now I have to reveal that this week’s favourite beer came courtesy of a brewery, whose ales I do not recall ever sampling. Small World Beers are the brewery in question. The brewhouse being located in Shelley, near Huddersfield.

Their Harvest Muse(4%) golden ale style offering was a most deserved choice for my tipple of the week.

A light-golden presentation with a tight, white head. A golden ale with light, bready malt, lemon and grassy notes in the aroma.

The taste is light, crisp and refreshing with lemony, grassy, floral and light, pineapple flavours identified. A quite impressive range to titillate the palate, for such a relatively low strength ale.

There is more grassy, citrusy, tangy hops in the long, dry finish. A delicious thirst-quenching beer in exceptional condition as always, at the New Brew-m, in Burnley town centre.
