A man and woman have been arrested for suspected drugs offences in Horwich.
Officers from the Horwich neighbourhood team were out on the beat in the early hours of today, Wednesday, when they spotted a vehicle on Chorley New Road.
Officers said they had previously received intelligence reports linking this vehicle to suspected drug dealing and drug use in the Horwich area.
Officers say the vehicle to stop which it initially failed to stop when asked to do so and later came to a stop on Birch Tree Way, Horwich.

Police say the driver of the vehicle was arrested on suspicion of a number of offences, including, failing to stop under the section 163 Road traffic act, driving whilst disqualified, driving whilst under the influence of a controlled substance, cocaine, possession of a Class A substance, possession of an offensive weapon.
Police say he was also wanted for an alleged theft offence in Wigan.
The vehicle's passenger, a woman, was also arrested for possession of a Class A substance and possession of an offensive weapon.
The vehicle was seized under section 165 Road traffic act and both the man and woman are in custody.
