More than an 1,000 illicit bottles of wines and spirits were seized during a operation in Farnworth.
Police and customs officers swooped on two properties in the area.
Farnworth and Kearsley Neighbourhood Policing Team were out with representatives from His Majesty's Revenue and Customs on Thursday as part of checks on alcohol and tobacco products as part of Neighbourhood Policing Week.
A spokesman for neighbourhood team said: " Farnworth and Kearsley Neighbourhood Policing Team with colleagues from HMRC attended 2 properties in Farnworth to conduct checks on alcohol and tobacco products.
"As a result of the visit over 1,000 illicit bottles of wine and spirits were seized."
Customs officers and police often join forces to conduct checks.
And illegal cigarettes and litres of counterfeit alcohol have been seized in the past.
