Officers say they were called at around 6pm on Friday, January 5 to a crash on the A58, in Westhoughton.

The driver, a man in his 70s, was taken to hospital with minor injuries, while the motorcyclist, a man in his 30s, suffered ‘serious injuries’ and was taken to hospital.

The motorcyclist remains receiving treatment more than a month later.

The crash occurred at the junction of Park Road and A58 Cricketers Way, according to the force.

No arrests have been made, and GMP is again asking for the public’s help as it makes enquiries after its original appeal did not bring as much attention as officers had hoped.
