A hair stylist really is head and shoulders above after being named as one of the best in the UK.
Nicole Murphy, who lives in Radcliffe, won second place in the Hair Stylist of the Year at the Beauty and Aesthetics Award held recently.
Nicole, who is based at GlowUp Hair and Beauty on Colville Drive, Bury, said: " I'm still in shock and so unbelievable proud of this amazing achievement to have got second place in the whole of the UK is an absolute dream come true."
Nicole moved to England from Ireland eight years ago and has spent the best part of that time focusing on her passion as a hairdresser, something she has wanted to do since she was 17 - after leaving school.
She came second place for "Best Bridal (individual) Hair Award" and was shortlisted the "Hair Stylist of the Year Award" in the UK Hair and Beauty Awards last year.
Nicole said: "The best part of my job is making my clients happy and feel confident in me creating their dream colours,
"Being a part of the team at GlowUp is amazing it’s by far the best salon I’ve ever worked in and with the best team of girls we all just have such a laugh and I really look forward to going to work."
