A mother and daughter duo who set up a bakery in their home are celebrating a new chapter  - by providing their delicious bakes to a new town centre cafe.

Isabella Riding, 21, set up Bella’s Bakes in 2017 at just 14-years-old, and she joined forces with her mum Natalie in 2021.

And now the duo has secured a deal with Café Crescent, which has opened at Bolton Library.

Natalie said: “It just really exciting to get another business under our belt, and it works for us and them.

“It’s a chance for people to get our cakes, and a chance for some new people to go to the café.

“Because things happen so quickly and time goes so quick, it’s hard to look back and appreciate how far we have come.

“It has grown really organically, and nothing has been forced.

“I am a very determined person, and I won’t give up.

“And I think Bella has inherited that.”

The Bolton News: The opportunity came about after the café saw what they were doing via Instagram and tried a sample box.

Bella’s Bakes usually offers a pre-order only services, but customers are now easily able to pick some of the products up.

Natalie said: “People are really excited about being able to go in and buy a cake.

“Bolton needs somewhere that people can go and meet up, and it’s a brilliant opportunity for us.”

The Eagley bakers also provide sweet treats to Happily Ever Teepee, Bluebells Pottery, Lasting Images, and The Globe at Egerton.

And they have their own section at Hunters The Bakers once a month.

The Bolton News: Natalie said: “One thing we love is working with other independent businesses.

“We work from home, and it can be quite lonely, so it’s nice to have a chat with customers and see people.”

Natalie mostly does the baking, whilst Isabella focuses on the cake decorating.

Bella’s Bakes saw huge success at the Bolton Food and Drink Festival, as well as pop up market stalls.

Natalie says that they would definitely like to open a shop in the near future.

One of the most popular items at Bella's Bakes is their Friday treat box, which has a mixture of cakes and pastries, available on a first come first served basis.

It is so popular that Isabella says that people set their alarms to come and collect the boxes.
