A wedding shop hidden away in Oldham sees "people come from all over Europe".
Trading out of the former St Paul's Church in Scouthead, The Aisle Edit boasts sweeping views over Saddleworth, while a bridal department sits inside the 135-year-old building.
The original stain glass windows light up each of the three floors in the Huddersfield Road premises, owned by Charlotte Mills - a luxury bridal footwear brand.
Hailing from Failsworth, founder Charlotte Mills relocated to Scouthead and explained why she wanted to remain in Oldham after taking a gamble on her business which paid off.
"I received funding from Oldham Council when I started - it was a £20,000 grant and I also re-mortgaged my house for £25,000," she said
"We decided on this place because I like being near home and it's good to give back to the local area."
Originally converted into an office space in 2008, Charlotte purchased it in 2022 and last year decided to make the most of the 19th century building by offering a bespoke wedding service experience.
However, while the Charlotte Mills brand draws customers in from across the country and overseas, she said the majority of Oldhamers are unaware of its existence.
Charlotte, who is celebrating the label's 10th anniversary, explained: "Locally we're not known, no one knows what we do here that's why we've just put signs up.
"People come from all over the UK, from Scotland and Europe. On a Saturday I'd say 95 per cent of people travel quite far to get here and we're full every day - about 100 people on a weekend will come and visit.
"This is the only place where you can try on our shoes and that's what drives people from quite far away."
While Emma-Jane Maclachlan, who gave our sister paper The Oldham Times a tour of The Aisle Edit, added: We opened in February last year and people come from all over Europe, Germany even, but locally I don't think anybody knows we're here."
A cafe sits on the ground floor which is open to the public, with ample seating in the foyer giving customers the opportunity to take in the beauty of the old St Paul's Church.
