Greater Manchester Police is asking for help to trace a Farnworth man’s next of kin after he died at home.

Gerald Stocks, 74, died at his home on Lime Street on Sunday, March 24.

It is hoped that people may come forward to help the police with contacting his family.

In UK law, there is no definition of next of kin, but it is understood to be the closest relative, whether a partner, parent, child or sibling.

A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police said: “Police are appealing for help to trace the next of kin of a man from Farnworth, Bolton.

“Gerald Stocks, 74, sadly died at his home address of Lime Street, Farnworth, on March 24. Anyone with information should call 0161 856 4687.”
