A Bolton non-profit organisation has bagged an excellence award in recognition of its stellar customer service.

Box Power CIC won the Service Excellence Award at the Federation of Small Businesses (FSB) North West Awards 2024, at a celebratory event at The Municipal Hotel in Liverpool last month.

Corin Dalby, CEO of Box Power CIC, said of the win: “We are delighted that our hard work and commitment to high-quality service has been recognised by the FSB Awards.

“As the UK’s only not-for-profit energy consultancy, who help companies get better deals on their energy, we invest heavily in customer service and satisfaction – and our customers know that when they get the best deals, so do charities that we donate to.”

“As well as brokering the best deals, we also raise awareness and campaign for national industry-wide transparency of energy prices, to ensure no one is caught out by sky-high broker fees that leave some places – such as care homes – paying ridiculously high prices for their gas and electric.”

To date, Box Power have donated more than £1m to over thirty different charities dealing with a wide range of community issues – their donations have made a huge amount of difference for hospices, animal shelters, charities, and women’s refuges.

Kirsty Treble, head of Box Power’s Complex Billing Team who attended the award event alongside Corin, said the win has had such a positive effect on the team.

She said: “The team and I are thrilled with the award; we strive to deliver the best service possible to our clients every single day and it’s great that this has been recognised.

“It just reaffirms that all the hard work we put in to making our clients’ energy journeys as positive as possible genuinely does make a difference.”

Box Power is among four Greater Manchester businesses who won at the FSB Regional Awards, and each now go forward into the national finals, taking place at Blackpool’s Winter Gardens on May, 9.
