A popular bar in the centre of Bolton has announced it will reopen later this week.

Courthouse Bar and Restaurant on Mawdsley Street closed last month due to emergency maintenance repair works.

And now the bar has announced it will be back open on Friday and is taking on new staff.

A post on social media said: "We are back and we need you.

"We are open from Friday, April 11 at 12pm.

"We’re looking for an enthusiastic individual that wants to take on a challenge. This role will lead to a bar manager position, should you pass probation."

They have also indicated that six months experience is required and the individual must be required to work weekends.

After the bar closed last month, owner Husky Faldu assured regulars it was a temporary issue to deal with maintenance problems.

The grade II listed building was taken over in 2018 from previous owners.

It had previously been run at Harvey’s Café Bar.

It underwent a £350,000 refurbishment when it was taken over.

Two years ago it underwent a large reopening event to welcome customers back in.

Food is served at the venue from Tuesday through to Sunday from 12pm, and customers can buy a drink up until last orders which is typically at 9.30pm.

The Ice Ice Baby cocktail is a popular drink among drinkers there.
