Bolton-born news presenter Clive Myrie will be returning to his hometown this summer in an event that will see him open up about his life.
Speaking with journalist Chris Maguire, BBC presenter Clive will talk about his autobiography Everything is Everything, which will be published in paperback in May.
The event takes place at 7.30pm on Saturday, June 15 at The Albert Halls in Bolton.
The autobiography tells how his family history has influenced his view of the world- from his Windrush generation parents, a great-grandfather who helped build the Panama Canal, and a great-uncle who fought in the First World War, later becoming a prominent police detective in Jamaica.
Clive is often described as having a reputation for fearless, objective reporting.
Now he is coming back to Bolton to reveal the man behind the television persona, someone proud of his North West roots but determined not to be defined by his background.
As a teenager with a paper round, he read all the newspapers he delivered from cover to cover and dreamed of becoming a journalist.

The event has been organised by Ebb & Flo bookshop at Bolton Albert Halls for Indie Bookshop Week 2024 which takes place between June 15 to 22 and celebrates independent bookshops.
