A number of people have been penalised for breaking the speed limit on a major road into Bolton.
St Peters Way on the A666 is subject to a 50mph speed limit.
The road is monitored by average speed cameras.
They capture the speed a vehicle has travelled between two given spots on the road.
The reduction in speed is clearly marked.
But in recent months a number of people have been in court for breaking the limit.
Lunar Graves drove between Bradford Street and Raikes Lane at 57mph in September last year.
She had been driving a Citroen southbound at the time of the offence.
The case against the 27-year-old was proved at Manchester Magistrates' Court.
Graves, of Cairo Street, Warrington, was fined £220 and given three points on her licence.
Michael Littler drove at 58mph while between Bradford Street and Raikes Lane in June last year.
He had been driving an Audi in a southbound direction at the time.
The case against the 46-year-old was proved at Tameside Magistrates' Court.
Littler, of Duke of Sussex Street, Blackburn, was fined £220.

Carolyn Wilson drove Bradford Street and Raikes Lane at 58mph in August last year.
She had been driving a BMW in a southbound direction at the time.
The case against the 38-year-old was proved at Manchester Magistrates' Court.
Wilson, of Eskdale Avenue, Blackrod, was fined £220 and given three points on her licence.
