An inquest has opened into the death of a teaching assistant from Bolton who died aged 34 after being in hospital for more than two weeks.
An inquest into the death of Hetalben Jignesh Kumar Patel opened at Bolton Coroners' Court on Thursday.
Police coroners officer Alex Pickles said that on January 24 this year Mrs Patel was advised to go to A&E after having low neutrophils, a type of white blood cell which helps the body to fight infections, and was feeling lethargic.
She was admitted to Royal Bolton Hospital later that day.
Then on February 11 she went into cardiac arrest.
CPR was attempted but later that day she died.

PCO Pickles said: “On February 15, Dr Patrick Waugh carried out a postmortem.
“The cause of death was given as undetermined.”
Coroner Michael Pemberton offered condolences to the family.
A full inquest into the death of the woman, of Forester Hill Avenue, Great Lever, will take place in September.
