Here are our player ratings for Brentford v Bolton Wanderers:

ADAM BOGDAN 7

Came up with a vital save from Dallas when his side really needed it and very nearly prevented Douglas’s header from crossing the line too. Looking back to his best.

OSCAR THRELKELD 7

Light years away from his last first team outing at Norwich. Threlkeld dealt well with everything that was thrown at him, especially considering he’s been playing midfield recently.

DORIAN DERVITE 5

The Frenchman was found wanting on a couple of occasions, not least when he was caught hopelessly out of position for the first goal. He was wasteful with the ball too.

PADDY MCCARTHY 6

Solid enough, especially in the air, before having to leave the field after making a heavy challenge on the edge of the penalty box. The Irishman is proving a leader at the back in Mills’ absence.

DEAN MOXEY 6

Looked much more comfortable in his regular left-back role after a stint at centre-half. Moxey linked up well with the midfield and kept Jota quiet early on.

TOM WALKER 6

Wanderers’ best player of the first half, Walker’s impact lessened a little as the game went on. His delivery from set pieces was a bit hit-and-miss but his eye for a pass is encouraging.

GILES COKE 6

Back in the side for the first time since Ipswich, Coke looked determined to make an impact and used the ball well. Might have won a few fans after his hour on the pitch.

TIM REAM 6

Started in midfield and looked a little shaky on the ball at times but recovered his poised after switching to left-back, making a couple of good interventions in the second half.

LIAM FEENEY 6

The winger’s pace got him into some excellent positions but his final delivery was lacking far too often. Never lets you down for effort but needs to be more consistent with the ball.

EMILE HESKEY 7

Led the line superbly and attracted defenders like a magnet. Should definitely have scored in the first half but atoned for his error quickly by producing a deft pass for Le Fondre’s goal.

ADAM LE FONDRE 6

Who would have honestly backed against him topping the scoring charts at Wanderers when he arrived in January? Probably should have had at least one more too.

Subs: Davies 42 (for Moxey) – Forced keeper into a mistake for the second 7 Gudjohnsen 67 (for Coke) – Worked hard late on to see result out 6 Janko 80 (for Threlkeld) – Held firm in the late stages 6 Not used: Lonergan, Trotter, Rochinha, Twardzik.

WANDERERS: 4-4-2
