A LITTLE Lever schoolboy is celebrating after helping England to international success - with gold and bronze medals.

Caleb Bromley, aged 14, has just returned from Florida with fellow Gouldings Gym member Ethan Gilbert in helping the England team to success at the WKCC World Championships.

The 14-year-old trained hard for the event and proud mum Natalie insists it paid off.

She said: "The standard of fighters was very high and Caleb has always had a raw and natural talent in this sport and is very strong and experienced for his age.

"Caleb was chosen by all of the England officials to be part of the team event which was part of a team of three teenage boys between 13 -15 years, open weight.

"His team members were Ethan Gilbert, who is a good friend at the gym and Sam Watkinson who trains at X Martial Arts In York but also part of the England squad. "They smashed it and work amazing together.

"They needed to win best out of three and go through three rounds and this was what they did it was great to watch and work together as a team of England.

"When he won the bronze and gold I was extremely proud although its not all about winning but all the hard work he has put In was great to achieve and who else can ever say the have been named third rank and first rank in the world.

"He was made up when he won and him, Ethan and Sam did great the Canadian team didn't know what had hit them."

But his pursuit of glory would not have been possible without funding to make the trip.

Natalie added: "Florida was an amazing experience for both myself did Caleb at first we was not going to go due to the money and on a single income was quite difficult to try and work out as it was not cheap getting over there.

"If it wasn't for my family talking me into doing it and supporting me we would never of got there.

"I owe all of our family especially my sister Joanne and brother-in-law Darren for setting up the gofund me website and helping me push this all forward.

"Also everybody who has helped and supported me and Caleb friends, family and strangers thanks, as we couldn't of done it without their help."
