WITH a heavy heart I have decided to cancel my season ticket for the Macron Stadium on what is a very sad day for me.

I felt I was left with no other course of action given the conflicting statements coming from the mouths of Messrs Anderson and Holdsworth.

The final nail in the coffin, so to speak, was Ken Anderson saying his funding for the club was "ready and waiting" but had not been required to date.

Is the transfer embargo imposed upon Bolton Wanderers a figment of my imagination or does it actually mean we cannot sign players until our financial situation is resolved properly and to the satisfaction of the League?

I, along with many fans of the club, was left bemused by the club's decision to get rid of several promising young players ahead of the appointment of a manager.

Surely those sorts of decisions should properly be taken after consultation between the owners and the manager and not unilaterally by the chairman.

When a legend of the club, in the form of John McGinlay, expresses real concern about the goings on at the Macron it is time to sit up and take notice.

I will, in all probability, be in attendance at the Macron come August but I felt my small, and probably unnoticed, protest against the way the current owners are running the club and the general lack of transparency needed to be made.

The funding of the club at present and the behaviour of the owners should be giving Peter Kay food for thought for another of his superb comedy programmes.
